Creston car show takes over downtown

Main street in Creston was buzzing with activity on Sunday for the Father’s Day car show put on by the Creston Valley Cruisers.

Motorcycles, trucks, cars, and other motor vehicles lined the street while enthusiasts braved the somewhat dreary weather to admire them.

President of the Creston Valley Cruisers, Fred Crane, says they were delighted with the lineup they had at the show.

“We have so many nice trucks, cars, bikes, and cars that are works in progress. We’re just having a blast. The turnout, the people, everybody is coming up to me saying they’re happy it’s downtown again and they’re loving it.”

The annual car show used to take place downtown every year, but in the past few, it had moved.

Crane says they’re happy to be back.

“We have so many people that just wanted it downtown. That way the older folks with their four-wheeled little buggies can come and enjoy the show. That was our purpose, to bring it downtown where the car show belongs.”

After a successful car show, Crane is looking forward to next year.

“I’d just like to thank everybody for coming out and supporting us, supporting the club, supporting the girls and guys that have all these beautiful rides here. Thanks, everybody.”
