Residents and children of Creston will soon benefit from an upgraded playground with the announcement of the Valley Community Services Society receiving $60,000 through the Province’s Community Gaming Grants.
BC NDP MLA Brittny Anderson says the project will help the not-for-profit organizations improve and expand their facilities and programs.
“Valley Community Services is an important resource for people in Creston and I’m very grateful of the work they do to support the community,” said Brittny Anderson, MLA for Kootenay-Central.
“Now, more children and families will be able to enjoy a new, safer playground while they access the services they rely on.”
The funding will be used to create a safe playground for young children.
Across BC, 54 capital projects are receiving a total of $5 million through the Community Gaming Grants program. The grants allow non-profit organizations to acquire essential equipment or undertake renovations.
These grants are part of the work your BC NDP government is doing to ensure British Columbians have access to programs and services that improve their quality of life, support local needs, and build vibrant communities.
